Boris Wexler —Director / Producer / Writer

Born and raised in Paris, France, Boris Wexler moved to the United States when he was 18. After making several short films that have screened at juried festivals around the world and 40 episodes of the web series Pillow Talks, Boris produced the independent drama Fall Away in 2010, directed by Roundabout American's producer Julian Grant.
In the meantime, Boris had been working on Roundabout American for over four years, and is extatic to see the project come to fruition. The first few minutes of the film stemmed from Boris's personal experience coming to Chicago, and his interest in developing a story that explores the ever changing contrasts between Europe and the United States.
Prior to filmmaking, Boris created and managed several businesses ranging from a furniture import operation to an Internet software provider, and traded on the stock market for several years.


Julian Grant —Producer

Independent filmmaker with over twenty-six feature films to his credit. Writer/ Producer/ Director. Past films include, "The Defiled", the mini-series "Robocop: Prime Directives," NYC Int. Fred Miller —Director of Photography

Fred is a Chicago area native, having grown up in the northwest suburbs. After making a movie with friends for a film class in HIgh School, Fred attended Columbia College Chicago, where he studied the many facets of visual storytelling. Since graduation in 2002, Fred has continued to grow as both a technician and an artist and much of his work has been seen at film festivals throughout the country and around the world. He has also filmed several national and regional television spots as well as programs for Animal Planet and ABC's LiveWell HD Network. Currently, he is freelancing for several companies in Chicago, and is always looking for interesting projects.


Robert Palos —Composer

Robert Palos is a Chicago-based guitarist and composer with a style rooted in the jazz tradition but flavored by his European/Balkan origin. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in instrumental performance from Columbia College in Chicago where he studied jazz guitar and theory. Currently Robert is enjoying several exciting musical projects, where he is a member of "ODE" and "Eyes Manouche". Ode's sound is a mixture of rock, folk, and world music. Certain pieces of the puzzle are indigenous to their Eastern European homeland but richly layered with heavy rhythmic elements and punctuated with deliberate pauses. The ensuing fusion is a trailblazing, energetic brand of rock music. Eyes Manouche is an original band from Chicago that plays gypsy balkan dance music mixing melodies from the eastern block with rhythms from all over the world. Eyes Manouche recently accepted an award on their documentary short film "Eyes Manouche" by Ratko Momcilovic. Robert is currently working on the film score for "Roundabout American" full length feature film by Boris Wexler.


Carla Englof —Line Producer

Carla began working in production as a fledgling reporter for KOMU News in Columbia, Missouri. Graduating from University of Missouri's journalism school, she headed down under to Sydney, Australia, to pursue her passion for production. Working first at TCO, a creative agency with mega-clients like Coca-Cola, Telstra, MakePovertyHistory and Sony, Carla fit right in to the fast-paced media world. She then worked for Storyhead Pty Ltd, working on one of her career highlight projects to date, a documentary on the Australian Olympic swim team before the Beijing Olympics. Carla returned to Chicago in early 2009, working as a Supervising Producer for Dreaming Tree Films. She taught young people how to create, shoot and produce music videos, docs and narrative films with stars like Usher, Maria Menounos, Richard Branson and Blink-182. She recently wrapped as UPM on her second feature film, "Call Me on Tuesday" starring Jason London and Kevin Sorbo.


Kate Stewart —Production and Wardrobe Designer

Kate Stewart is a multifaceted, energetic production designer based in Chicago. She is a graduate of the DePaul University Theatre School and has been honing her talents via a wide variety of art department positions for film and television productions for over six years. Stewartʼs acute sense of viewing the complete picture and her ability to develop the concept to threadline on a feature film not only speaks to her attuned attention to detail, but to her design talent as well.


Lucy Manda —Producer of Marketing and Distribution

Lucy Manda is a Chicago native and always had a strong passion for film. She received her Masters of Science at DePaul University in Digital Cinema and has been working in film for the past 3 years. She loves being on set and is ready to take on new roles. She worked as an assistant casting director for the Animal Planet show, "Animal Witness" and assisted the casting director/animal trainer on set. She was the casting assistant and art department coordinator for the DePaul University Blue Light short "The Balancing Game".
